All of us have felt for sometime now, the inadequacy of our Wudu facilities to accommodate growing number of Senior Citizens in our community.

MashaAllah, the community has grown since the Masjid was built. Our sisters are inconvenienced everytime we have a large prayer gathering. We need additional prayer area for our sisters.

Our Sunday School is crowded and we need more class room space to accommodate our children who seek Islamic education.

Mindful of these needs, the Board of Directors and Board of Trustees have finalized a Plan for Masjid Extension.

THERE WILL BE AN OPEN FORUM PRESENTATION OF THE SELECTED PLAN ON SUNDAY, DECEMBER 18, 2011, 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm. MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS ARE EQUALLY WELCOME TO ATTEND.

Hiring Quran Program and Sunday School instructors, and teaching assistants.

Instructors must have a minimum of two years teaching experience.

Teaching assistants must have at least one year of experience.

Sunday School faculty can teach either Quran or Islamic Studies, or both,depending on experience.

Quran Instructors must be proficient in reciting Quran with Tajweed.

Speaker: Jere D. Stocks, President, Washington Adventist Hospital

Mr. Stocks was appointed President of Washington Adventist Hospital in February 2005.  He received his Bachelors of Business Administration from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan in 1984, and his
Masters of Business Administration from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois in 1993.

Mr. Stocks has served in the following healthcare positions since 1984: Physician Billing Services Manager at Hinsdale Hospital in Hinsdale, Illinois from 1984 to 1986; Operations Manager at Professional Support Services in Westmont, Illinois from 1986 to 1987; Hospital Services Manager at Baxter Healthcare Corporation in
Deerfield, Illinois from 1987 to 1988; Director, Strategic Planning at Lakeland Regional Health System in St. Joseph, Michigan from 1988 to 1991; Senior Manager at KPMG in Dallas, Texas from 1993 to 1999; and
three positions within Tenet Healthcare Corporation from 1999 to 2005: Director, Operations Strategy in Dallas, Texas, Chief Operating Officer at Redding Medical Center in Redding, California, and Chief Operating Officer at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

Mr. Stocks is currently Chairman of the Adventist Community Services Board, a member of the Adventist Community Action Council, the Greater Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce Board, the CASA DE MARYLAND
Development Advisory Committee and the Governors Workforce Board.
