Clothing Swap Jan 2nd & 3rd.
Dec 18th, 2009 • Category: Events
Mark your calendars and take the opportunity to share clothing and household items that have been sitting in the closet or gathering dust in the garage with other families that can put them to good use.
Donations are dropped on Saturday, Jan 2, 11am – 3pm and sorted by a very dedicated crew of volunteers.
Participants are invited to return on Sunday, Jan 3, 11am – 3pm and shop from among the donations.
Items are FREE for the taking and, better yet, there are BLESSINGS in the sharing as we strengthen the bonds between us.
Volunteers are always needed to sort and organize donations on the front end and to pack up and distribute the remaining items on the back end.
Transportation may also be needed for those families who do not have reliable transportation of their own. Consider helping this time – it is a fun and productive way to spend the afternoon and the work is much easier if it is share amongst a number of individuals.
Please forward the event flier far and wide and contact me if you would like to volunteer. Any items that are left over are forwarded to local charities that do not resell them. If you have any recommendations along these lines, please let me know asap so that we can make the appropriate advance arrangements.
Please note that there are no childcare arrangements available. Children are welcome (they make great volunteers!) but must be supervised by their parents at all times.
