Ramadan Mubarak!

1st of Ramadan is MONDAY, August 1, 2011.

In accordance with The Fiqh Council of North America, the first day of Ramadan will be Monday, August 1, 2011.

May ALLAH (swt) accept our fasting and make it a source of our success, Ameen.

Iqamah for Isha’ will be at 9:45pm, Insha’Allah.

Zakatul Fitr this year is $10 per member of the household.

Iftar and dinner Program:
Iftar and dinner is provided everyday during Ramadan.

Daily cost for providing Iftar and dinner is approximately $1,800 during weekdays and $2,400 for Friday – Sunday.

The MCC community will arrange nightly Iftar dinners open to the entire community from the money/prepared or catered food donated by community members.

There will be several special Iftar programs this month open to all as follows:

• Wednesday, August 10th: MCC welcomes Montgomery County Executive and keynote speaker, Isiah Leggett
• Sunday, August 14th: MCC welcomes White House Representative and Keynote speaker, Paul D. Monteiro,  President Obama’s White House Liaison with the Muslim Communities
• Friday, August 19th: MCC welcomes the State Department Representatives
• Saturday, August 20th: MCC Fundraising Iftar with keynote speaker, Imam Abdullahi
• Sunday, August 21st: MCC Education Committee
