COMMITTEE STRUCTURE AT THE MCC

MCC operations are conducted through various committees. Any MCC member can volunteer to serve on a committee of their choice by contacting the Chairperson of that Committee.

Members who wish to serve on the committees should take their commitment seriously and be prepared to devote enough time to their undertaking. Frequent absence may result in removal from the committee.

The following committees are required under the MCC bylaws Section-14:

  • Nominating Committee.
  • Fundraising Committee.
  • Membership Committee.
  • Education Committee.
  • Social and Cultural Committee.
  • Public Relations Committee.
  • Building / Facilities Committee.

Board of Directors (BoD) and Board of Trustees (BoT) may add other committees from time to time as the need arises. Currently, there are following additional committees set up by the BoD:

  • Religious Affairs Committee.
  • Zakat Committee.
  • Funeral Committee.
  • Anti-Racism, Justice, and Equity Committee

Chairpersons of the committees are selected and appointed by the respective Boards.

In addition to the above mentioned committees, the BoD / BoT may also authorize some special (temporary) programs for special needs. Current examples are:

  • Seniors’ Program.
  • MCC Youth Organization
  • Constructions Committee.
  • Sisters Alliance.

A minimum of two year service, as certified by the Chairperson of a Committee, is one of the pre-requisite for candidacy to the Board of Directors.

For questions or comments, please contact President, Board of Directors.
