About the Mommy and Me Program

The MCC Mommy and Me Program is a weekly gathering for moms and their young children (ages 0–5), designed to support early childhood development in a fun, faith-based, and social environment. The program takes place every Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., offering interactive activities, Islamic songs and stories, and opportunities for moms to connect and build community.

Waiver and Release of Liability

The MCC Mommy and Me Program is designed to provide a fun, engaging, and enriching experience for young children (ages 0-5) and their caregivers. While MCC takes measures to create a safe and welcoming environment, participation in the program involves certain inherent risks.

The following outlines important information for parents/guardians regarding participation:

1. Assumption of Risk

Participation in the MCC Mommy and Me Program involves activities that may include, but are not limited to, movement-based play, interaction with other children, outdoor activities, and sensory experiences. These activities come with risks, including minor injuries (such as scrapes, bumps, or falls) and exposure to common illnesses.

Families voluntarily assume all risks associated with their child(ren)’s participation in the program and acknowledge that MCC, its staff, volunteers, or program facilitators are not liable for any injuries, illnesses, or accidents that may occur.

2. Release of Liability

The Muslim Community Center (MCC), its employees, volunteers, representatives, and affiliates are not responsible for any claims, liabilities, damages, or losses arising from a child(ren)’s participation in the Mommy and Me Program.

3. Medical Authorization

In the event of an emergency, MCC staff or volunteers may seek appropriate medical care for a child(ren) if a parent/guardian is unable to respond. Parents/guardians are solely responsible for any medical expenses incurred as a result of such care.

Parental Responsibilities

As a parent/guardian participating in the MCC Mommy and Me Program, the following responsibilities apply:

1. Supervision of My Child(ren)

• I understand that I am fully responsible for supervising my child(ren) at all times during the program.

• I agree to remain with my child(ren) throughout the duration of each session and ensure that they are engaged safely in all activities.

• The person who registers the child must be the one attending with the child unless prior arrangements have been made and approved by the program coordinators.

• I will monitor my child(ren)’s behavior and intervene if necessary to ensure a safe and positive environment for all participants.

2. Payment & Registration Commitment

• I acknowledge that program registration is not considered complete until all required fees have been paid in full.
• I understand that payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

3. Health & Illness Policy

• I will not bring my child(ren) to the program if they are experiencing symptoms of illness, including fever, cough, vomiting, diarrhea, or any contagious condition.
  

4. Community & Respect

• I will contribute to maintaining a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants.

• I will encourage positive interactions between my child(ren) and others and model appropriate behavior in all program activities.
